Murfreesboro

RUTHERFORD COUNTY · MIDDLE TENNESSEE

Murfreesboro is a city in its own right, not a suburb of one — built around a red-brick courthouse square, anchored by a major university and a genuinely broad employment base. I send a lot of buyers here who want more house for the same budget than they'd find in Williamson County, and the range on offer is wide: historic homes near the square, long-established subdivisions, and plenty of newer construction out on the edges.

Life Here

Living in Murfreesboro.

Murfreesboro doesn't feel like an outlying town — it feels like a destination in itself, built around that red-brick courthouse square and carried by a major university and a genuinely broad base of employers. I find most of my Murfreesboro clients are people who've done the maths on Williamson County and decided their money goes further here, without giving up a real sense of place. There's history near the square, long-standing subdivisions further out, and new neighbourhoods still filling in at the edges.

What the housing looks like

Historic homes cluster close to the courthouse square.
Extensive, well-established subdivisions make up much of the city.
Large volumes of newer construction continue on the outer edges.
The price range is wide, which generally means more house for the money.
